Overview

The Hangzhou Donghua Chain Group is one of the largest chain manufacturers in the world: more than 40 million metres of finished chain a year, over 3,000 people, and plants in China, Japan, Germany and Poland. Its chain was sold in Europe for twenty years under other companies' brand names before it began selling under its own.

Research has taken that range to some 30,000 chain varieties across 100,000 specifications, which is the reason Donghua is worth quoting: a drive that needs chain to a given standard usually needs it available rather than on a lead time. Petrofab quotes Donghua through its supplier base.

What we supply

Roller chain, attachment chain, conveyor chain, agricultural chain and chain wheels, in metric and imperial sizes.

Where it is used

Chain is ordered to a standard rather than to a brand. A British standard 16B-1 from one maker and a 16B-1 from another have the same pitch, the same roller diameter and the same plate width, and they run on the same chain wheel. That is what makes a second source worth having: the machine does not know the difference.

Donghua covers the standard ranges, British and American, in simplex, duplex and triplex, along with attachment chain where plates are extended to bolt slats or buckets to, conveyor chain, and agricultural chain.

To order, send the chain number from the side plate, or measure the pitch across ten pins and divide by ten. Tell us the length in metres or in links, the number of strands, and whether connecting links are needed.

Ordering

Send us the Donghua number with the quantity. If the marking has worn off, send the bore, the outside diameter and the width, and tell us what it runs in and how hard it works. We will identify the equivalent and quote it. Quantities and delivery are confirmed on the quotation.
