RHP Bearings in Qatar

Overview

RHP is the British bearing name. It was formed in 1969 out of three older companies, Ransome and Marles, Hoffmann and Pollard, whose own history goes back to 1898. NSK acquired it in 1990, and the Self-Lube housed units are still made in Newark.

RHP matters in Qatar for one practical reason: older British and Commonwealth built plant is full of imperial sizes, and RHP is where the imperial numbers still come from. Petrofab quotes RHP through its supplier base.

Reading an RHP number

RHP names the housed unit series rather than coding it letter by letter.

Code	What it means
Self-Lube	The housed unit range: pillow blocks, flange units and take up units with a re-lubricatable insert bearing
Silver-Lube	The corrosion resistant version, for washdown and food areas
Life-Lube	The version sealed for life, where re-greasing is not practical
MJ, LJ	Imperial deep groove ball bearing series

Send us the RHP number with the quantity. If the marking has worn off, send the bore, the outside diameter and the width, and tell us what it runs in and how hard it works. We will identify the equivalent and quote it. Quantities and delivery are confirmed on the quotation.
