V Belts

What we supply

A V belt is what actually carries the drive from a motor to the machine it turns, and when one slips, glazes or snaps, the machine stops. The belt is the cheapest part of that drive and the most expensive one to be waiting for. PETROFAB supplies V belts for the drives found across process plants, workshops, yards and site equipment, including compressors, pumps, fans and blowers, conveyors, crushers, generator sets and heavy road machinery.

• Classical V belts in the A, B, C and D sections
• Narrow section wedge belts in the SPZ, SPA, SPB and SPC sections
• Cogged raw edge belts, for tight bends and small pulley diameters
• Banded and multiple V belts, for high load and shock load drives
• Poly V and ribbed belts
• Timing and toothed belts
• Matching pulleys, taper lock bushes and tensioners

How to order the right belt

The fastest way is the marking printed along the side of the belt you are replacing, for example A42 or SPB 2000. Send us that code and the quantity and we will quote it. If the belt is worn smooth and the marking is gone, send us the centre distance between the two shafts, both pulley diameters, and what the drive is running. That is enough for us to work the size out for you.

Belts run in sets on multi groove drives, and a new belt paired with an old one wears out fast because the tension is never shared evenly. We will always quote the full matched set for a drive rather than a single belt, unless you tell us otherwise.
