Industrial procurement

Spare parts and equipment sourced against your operating conditions rather than against a part description, supplied to plants and contractors across Qatar.

Most procurement problems are not price problems. They are specification problems, and they surface on site, when a part that was ordered correctly against its description turns out to be wrong against the duty it has to do.

So we work from the operating conditions first. Send a drawing, a nameplate photograph or a part number and we confirm the fit before a price is quoted. Where an item is not held locally we go to the manufacturer network and come back with the alternatives, the certified equivalents and the lead time broken into manufacturing, shipping and customs clearance, rather than one date with nothing behind it.

The catalogue on this site is what we hold and supply regularly. It is not the limit of what we can source.

What this covers

  • Sourcing against a drawing, a nameplate photograph or a part number
  • Confirmation of fit and certification before the quotation is issued
  • Certified equivalents where the original is discontinued or on long lead
  • Lead times separated into manufacturing, shipping and customs clearance
  • Consolidated enquiries, so one list comes back as one quotation
  • Delivery across Qatar from the Doha office

What shapes this work

A description is not a specification

Two parts can share a catalogue line and still differ on the thing that decides the job: the material in contact with the medium, the temperature class, the thread form. We ask for the conditions the part works in, which is the question that stops the wrong item being shipped.

Discontinued is normal, not a dead end

Industrial ranges are revised constantly. When the original is gone we look for the equivalent and tell you what differs between the two, so the substitution is your decision rather than a surprise in the box.

A lead time with no parts to it cannot be planned

Manufacturing, shipping and clearance behave differently and go wrong for different reasons. Quoted as a single number they cannot be managed, so we quote them separately.

Questions buyers ask about this

What do you need from me to start sourcing?

A drawing, a photograph of the nameplate or a part number, plus the conditions the part works in. Pressure, temperature, the medium and the area classification cover most cases. If you only have one of those, send it anyway and we will tell you what else is needed.

Can you source something that is not in your catalogue?

Yes. The catalogue is what we stock and supply regularly, not the limit of the sourcing network. Describe the application and we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

Do you quote item by item, or on a whole list?

A list is easier for both sides. Send the whole requirement in one enquiry and it comes back as one quotation with the lead time against each line.
